KSSM offers a range of courses to suit people who are aspiring to a career in make up artistry through to others who may like to improve their personal skills.  We even arrange party days or nights for groups of woman looking for fun and entertainment with a difference.

Diploma of Make-up Artistry

Classes will run throughout the year and are deliberately kept small to maximise the learning potential and outcome
of students.

Kristen will personally teach the students, limiting the numbers to 10 students per course to ensure there is plenty of one-on-one focus from the tutor to student.

Guest tutors will include other working make-up artists, hairstylists and photographers, such as Mod’s Hair and Stephen Goodenough. This expertise will expose students to meticulous skills in both technical and creative aspects.

Diploma of Make-up Artistry students only need to bring themselves and an enthusiasm to learn, as KSSM provides an excellent professional make-up kit supplied by M.A.C, that has everything needed to get students started. A professional
hair-kit is also supplied, which includes a mixture of styling products supplied by Mod's Hair and a range of other styling tools supplied independently.

Students of the Diploma of Make-up Artistry may also have the opportunity to work with Portfolio Models & Talent Agency, assisting at their Teenage Workshop in the school holidays. The workshop covers posture, grooming, hair and skin care, make-up application, nutrition, excercise, introduction to television castings, photo shoot and wardrobe coordination. KSSM students will be providing make-up application assistance and styling for the models.

On completion of the course every student receives an industry recognised Diploma of Make-up Artistry certificate, and depending on their level of ability, can be awarded varying levels of distinction.

This is an intensive course providing future make-up artists with specific training to get ahead in their career in the fashion and photographic industry.

Training includes:

• Focus study on perfecting application of foundation and skin correcting
• Face shape and bone structure
  - including highlighting and contouring
• The importance of blending
• Eye brow shaping and false eye lash application
• Natural make-up application
• Wedding make-up
• Smoky eyes
• High fashion looks as well as focusing on current trends for all photography
• Glamour make-up
• Make-up for black and asian skin
• Make-up for males
• Make-up through the decades
• Make-up for commercial, moving and still camera
• Hairstyling
• A professional photo shoot with photographer
  Stephen Goodenough and two professional models for each student.
• Lectures on preparation and involvement on photo shoots, and at weddings and fashion shows. Also learning a good basis for business and professionalism when going to a job and follow through.

KSSM offers a varied range of short courses for those who wish to learn the craft of make-up artistry, and become more confident in their skills and application of the latest
seasonal styles.  

Bare Essentials and Face Art are your stepping stone to becoming a fully fledged make up artist.  These courses are for learning to apply make up to others. 

For each of the courses all make-up and application tools are provided by KSSM, all students need to bring is themselves and an enthusiasm to learn.

'Girls Making Up'

For those who wish to organise a group of women for a fun 2½ hour session to learn how to use make-up. Bubbles and platter supplied. Perfect for hen's nights and other
special occasions.
Length: 2½ hours by appointment (availability only)
Cost: $550 - for group (no more than ten at one time)

Bare Essentials

Perfect for busy people who would like to learn the craft of make-up artistry in a thorough comprehensive course, spanning four weeks.
Length: 4 weeks
(one night per week for three hours)

Basics One-On-One

For the woman who wants to be able to confidently apply her own make-up to suit both her, and the latest seasons styles. One-on-one tutoring with Kristen Stewart for one or
two women.
Length: 1 - 2 hours by appointment
Cost: $120 - per person

Face Art

A three day intensive foundation course, on make-up artistry. Learn quick and easy steps to create contemporary looks.
Length: 3 days
(courses runs at least four times per year - subject to demand)
Cost: $600 - per person
